Peter Gilgan Family YMCA – is it becoming a bathhouse?

In the media, our jobs should be to get the information out there for the greater good of everybody – let’s get the problem fixed as quickly as possible so fewer people are impacted by it.

I have been in a bit of a quandary about what you are about to read.  Having gone through the process of trying to get local government to make changes to protect potential homeowners and finding that local council not only wasn’t interested but, allowed a builder to break the law and put my children at risk.  I find that those who are in power and use this position to not help people, is abhorrent and usually self-serving on their part or their associates.

I have no problem with people enjoying themselves or the company of others in a public manner but, sometimes, these activities should be in some private place. As Pierre Elliott Trudeau stated: “The state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation” and it is something I have no issues with, as long as some activities are kept in the bedroom, so to speak.

I received some information awhile ago and was reluctant to publish it but, to do so, would be to do what the Town of Oakville politicians did to me.  Bury the problem and hope it goes away, even though children are put at risk.  Since going to authorities has shown to be useless, I therefore will follow the above advice of Joe Duarte.  I don’t want someone, especially our youth, to be impacted by activities that are going on at the Peter Gilgan Family YMCA in Oakville and will leave it to the parents to decide what action to take in regards to the activities.  It is their choice on what their children are exposed to and not my choice to deny them this right.  I have memories of the YMCA in Peterborough during my youth.  Except for public events, swimming in the pool was nude and I have no trauma from illicit activities on the premise as these events did not happen, openly at least.

Also, I am not making any statement regarding the lifestyle or activities portrayed in the following information, just the location said activity takes place.

As they say in real estate – Location, Location, Location.  And, this location is not an appropriate place for open sexual activity as described below.  The Peter Gilgan FAMILY YMCA is designed for all people to utilize but you will notice that FAMILY is emphasized.  It would be therefore appropriate that more ADULT oriented activities should not be tolerated and that the risk of children being exposed to this type of behaviour is too great to allow any freedom in this area.  Not a prude by any stretch of the imagination but, there are more appropriate areas for such activities, such as more private bathhouses.

I was directed to the information but, have not been to the YMCA to visually collaborate the written material.  I am assuming that the same information in two websites and also recent additions, will verify some truth to this claim.  I am more than open to let the Peter Gilgan Family YMCA authorities comment on this at any time on this blog and either deny this happening or show they are aware and taking action.

Here are the screen shots that show the activity.

* The above is intended to show the reader examples of how to obtain a house inspector, no matter which builder you buy from. Remember, awards and advertising are designed to make you buy, not ensure you quality. We’ve shown that awards are not the standard on which to base your decision on. My use of my experiences are not made to embarass Mattamy Homes or Peter Gilgan but, are used because they are based on fact and show the larger picture that a house inspector is a requirment when buying a house, new or old from any builder. My experience only shows that in fact it can happen and is a fact of life. Your experiences with Mattamy may have differed but do not preclude what happened to me from happening again. Beware.
