No Money for you Kanata…..

alphainventions

A little while ago I read a news report that the “Canada Day in Kanata” event is behind the eightball in terms of about $22,000 in funding.  Seems their title sponsor, Mattamy Homes is not renewing their conrtact after sponsoring the event for 3 years.

Hey, at least they did a sponsorship for three years.  Yes, right at the time they were looking to build in Kanata and get some environmental stuff pushed through to allow them to build.  Of course, they have since  been convicted of doing environmental damage in this area and, some of the politicians have called their bluff and stopped development that had the potential to flood areas of Kanata.  Depending on who you listen to of course.  Even those working for Mattamy and are ex-employees of Ottawa.

Hmmmm, seems that Mattamy is grabbing their wagon and getting out of town to go hunting for tadpoles in Seaton.  Hopefully they fill the wagon with life-jackets to save the kids during our spring run-off.  But, that is another issue.

Yes, Milton continues to grow and got the free bus rides.  Old stomping grounds for ex-Halton chair, Peter Pomeroy and Mattamy employee.   Mattamy got off the hook for illegal (code) wiring in Oakville.  Also, at the same time, ex-mayor Ann Mulvale got her donation for her worthy cause from Mattamy.  I’m glad they got the donation, not glad Mattamy got off with something that could have killed my children. Not sure what happened up in Bracebridge with the flooding basements or the problems in Florida

Of course, I guess Seaton settled for the promise that all tadpoles would be erradicated from the area with the plethora of children flooding the new Mattamy development and just itching to get out and hunt those tadpoles.

Ottawa, smarten up.  You’re losing your place on the gravy train.  And, we’re not talking taxpayers here.
